The best part about looking at this four years later is knowing that the Yankees almost signed him again in 2011.

Hey Richard. You're right: there's no reason to boo him or make fun of him at this time of year. Over the off-season, it was semi-acceptable. But once Randy Johnson was traded and he became a working part of the rotation plans, it does no good. Though, calling him the "Rajah of Rehab" (copyright Pete Abraham) never hurts.

Thanks for the kind words, Johnny (are you SURE it's not spelled Jhonny?). We try to keep the sensationalism off this here site.

Hi, I cam over from MVN. Great read this AM.

Let me say this, Im glad your blog is going on, I really enjoyed what you did on MVN. While it's just my opinion, I always thought your writing was the strongest there.

Ominous sign; I noticed Pete Simonetti of NYY News on board there as 1 of only 2 writers, down from 5. I know some laud his "Yankee connections", but he is a terrible writer and it seems to be a step down there in quality. Again, just my opinion.

Also, they seem to have lifted an article on hats, right from Peter Abrahams Lohud blog. Is there that little to write about that they have to pad their content by taking articles? Clearly not, based on what I read in your blog today.

Ill be here on your blog instead.

Peace!

Good article. Thank you for not making fun of him. You mentioned his mental state, who know what that is (except him). I am sure our support and openness to his return will help. I hope and pray that he is not booed off the field the first time he pitches at Yankee stadium. I am not particularly a fan of his, but, he is a human being, he is a pitcher on MY team and he is going to get my full support until he is traded or leaves.
