I hear this Phil Hughes kid is pretty good. And hey, he pitched 5 innings. Which is more than I can say for any starter on the Yankees…
Tabata is sick, and nice to see Jackson get off to a good start.
I’m pretty impressed with Whelan. It’s a shame that he has to repeat double a, although he should see time in scranton come May when Villone hopefully leaves to a different club.
Whelan is very impressive, although this is his first time in AA. He was in hi-A Lakeland last season. I think he has a good chance to jump up to Scranton this season, as injuries to Cox and Veras have opened the door for him.
Wait, wait, wait. Does this mean that Austin Jackson didn’t strike out?
There were more scouts than usual at Trenton the past two days….may mean nothing, but they were of a higher level (organizationally) than typically attends early AA games.
