Duncan is hitting .239/.333/.457, so he's not exactly dazzling down there.

Unless he starts a ridiculous hot streak, Duncan will be with AAA all year, with a possible September cup of coffee. He's 22 this year, so there's still time to figure things out. Very iffy future.

Speaking of which, what is Duncan's deal? He seems to be hitting well enough at Scranton, with the occasional XBH to the mix--is he still considered a significant part of the Yankees future. I mean, I know Minky saves 9 runs a game and that sweet stroke is a death-knell for Julian Tavarez--but it would be nice to have a decent 1 bagger in the works. For all the Yankees glitz and glam in the lineup, the fact that they give up so much at a power position practically negates the added benefit of having slugger at 2B. Anyway, is Duncan still highly regarded or not? I mean, what is he? 23? Mid-season call up? Or career utility IF...

Here's a good start for a background on Robertson

http://thebaseballcube.com/players/R/David-Robertson.shtml

High strikeout, borderline high walk, and his low hit rates suggest groundball tendencies.

And may I add: any day where Eric Duncan doesn't strike out is a cause for celebration.

I have a couple questions I just wanna throw out there.

1- What is the background on that David Robertson guy? I've read a couple of Yankee prospects lists but his name never stood out.

2- Do you have any information on the reason behind Shelly Duncan's breakout performance. This guy has been in the system years and this year he has really shined. Would have anything to do with the new hitting coach that the SWB Yankees have this year?

The "down on the farm" comments section never seems to get much love, so i thought i'd give you a holler. However simple they may be, I think your comments are really funny
