He has to show the curve a little bit, or they will hit his fastball like ryan howard did over the centerfield fence. Also, it could just be the gun, but his fastball is topping out at 95 and is mostly about 93. I have read its in the high 90's and even 100 on occasion. The kid is raking in AAA, and while he is far from a prospect, there is little chance that he hits worst than Minky.
