Certainly not numbers: Clippard has very good to great numbers in all his trips to the minors, not just his AA and AAA as you seem to suggest. I have been listening to this prediction of Clippard sucking whenever he makes a jump to the next level. So far, he has defied all these predictions. Can that buy the guy at least a benefit of doubt? I do respect your opinion, but I certainly don't get this paranoia about Clippard. Do you have any comparable to him that sucked badly in the majors? I guess the question would be based on what? Whats worse is the the general lackadaisical attitude of the team. A runner is out at second yet he's called safe, does anyone argue, no. Where's the fire, why didn't Cano get in the umpires face? Where was Mattingly? On TV you could see he was out as the play was made. I thought I must have missed something but when I saw the replay... .
