Down on the Farm
ByJoba was named Florida State League pitcher of the week, but that’s not as cool as being part of a River Ave Blues Watch. Â

Shelley Duncan: 2 for 5, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 K - 6 XBH in last 4 games…for the love of God, get him in the bigs before he cools off and this is all for naught!!!

Eric Hacker: 3 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 1 HB – rushed to High-A after missing all of 2004 & 2006 with arm trouble, and it shows…

Low-A Charleston (7-1 loss to Asheville)
Mitch Hilligoss: 3 for 4 – minor league leading 21 game hit streak…and counting
Austin Jackson: 0 for 2, 2 BB, 1 SBÂ - 2 walks and no strikeouts? that’s impressive for Action Jackson

Eduardo Nunez: 3 for 4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI – SLGÂ went from .282 to .316…
Ivan Nova: 5.1 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K- just called up from Extended Spring, and don’t be fooled by this start, he’s legit…92-94 mph fastball, knockout changeup, and decent curve for the 20 yr old
Jon Hovis: .2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 HBP
Chris Kunda: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 Er, 0 BB, 0 K, 0-3 GB/FB – second baseman by trade, and he never even threw a pitch while at Oregon State…
David “nails in the coffin” Robertson hasn’t pitched in a game since May 6th…these injuries are getting frustrating…

What happen to the Nova kid? That line doesn’t seem to fit the pitches you’re describing. Bad defense? Unlucky?
Could have been anything really, bad D, bad luck, rust, etc. It was his first start out of Extended Spring after all…
Ohlendorf place on DL
