Oh man, have you played MLB 07: The Show for PS3 yet? That game’s crazy sick. If you go and download the roster updates, you get to use Phil Hughes (they have his real windup), Mighty Matt DeSalvo, Chase Wright, Timmy Lincecum…all those guys who got called up earlier in the year. It’s frickin’ awesome. No Rocket though, he can’t be included in the game updates until he appears in an MLB game. I’ll post a more in-depth review tomorrow…

rest of lineup: 0 for 19, 7 K, 2 E – Eric Duncan wasn’t in the lineup…

Reegie Corona: 1 for 5, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 K
Tim Battle: 2 for 4, 3 R, 1 BB, 2 K – his 55-6 K/BB ratio would be awesome if he was a pitcher…
Jose Tabata: 2 for 4, 2 RBI, 1 BB – killin’ lefties (.920 OPS), righties…not so much (.694 OPS)
Juan Miranda: 1 for 5, 1 RBI

Russ Raley: 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 K

Low-A Charleston
‘s game with Rome was suspended due to rain in the top of the 3rd. I assume they’ll pick it up tomorrow, and I’ll post the stats then. You aren’t missing much, except Garrett Patterson getting effed up.

why don’t you want Clippard up on Sunday? I think that he could be a very effective player who will at the very least can be an innings muncher.

Check out Lincecum’s line tonight (actually, I’m sure you already have).

    Sorry its Over

I am a huge Yankee fan, Every year they give us a scare but we always come back. This year feels Different, I dont know how you other feel, but there is a problem with this team and it might be time to split this team up. We are now 9 games out of first and Boston is the best team in baseball, so winning the Division is over. Making the playoffs keep fading away with all the games we are losing. At first I was like ok its the 1st month they are just a little rusty. Now we are in the 2nd month and this is what we got. Johnny- .256, 2 Hr, 21K to much for a leadoff hiter. Abreu- .242, 2 HR, Looking bad in the OF, 36K for a guy that suppose have one of the best OB % in the league. Cano- .234, Just looking real bad these days. This team is just getting to old. Its time to find ways to trade these guys. I know Cano should bounse back. Guys that I cant wait to trade are Giambi, Abreu, Damon, Matsui. Dont get me wrong they all did an ok job with us, but this year is showing how sometimes you need to get young players in here. I hope I am wrong about this year, and I will keep going to there games every weekend when they are home a watch them loose and maybe they turn it around, But if they dont you can say goodbye to being a playoff team every year for awhile. Sometimes it takes time to RETOOL. I sill have some faith but admit all yankee fans are nervous. ( Sorry if I misspelled some words)

My Bro bought the game other day.. I will try to play when I had free time

So who is going to be your preferred starter? Who do you hope should be starting? Ohlendorf? Jackson? They cannot get AAA hitters out. Chase Wright? We saw how that ended up. What are the Yankees going to lose if they try out Clippard? A ballgame? They lose them everyday anyways with allegedly ML starters on the mound. Oh wait, you keep predicting that this guy is going to suck at the next level contrary to all available evidence. I understand the part about his current lousy WHIP, and that has been skewed by a couple of starts. He is on the learning curve, and at the end of the year, the number of baserunners per inning is likely to come down.

Clippard is probably going to have just one start. Just don’t turn on the TV if you have no stomach for that. If Matt DeSalvo can start for the Yankees despite his not-so-stellar minor league record, so can Clippard. The world is not going to end.

why hasn’t Ian Kennedy been promoted to Double A yet? I’m praying the reason is the TAMPA braintrust wants Kennedy to be able to spend some time with the Rocketman… hopefully The Trenton Thunder will be saying hello mr kennedy very soon

    Tim Battle: 2 for 4, 3 R, 1 BB, 2 K – his 55-6 K/BB ratio would be awesome if he was a pitcher…
