You know what’s absolutely nuts? DiMaggio also has the MiL record.

You guys have any thoughts on Was Watching’s latest article about the upcoming draft? In short: Don’t expect any help from this draft.

  • Mike A.

He’s wrong. Go see my response:

This Draft is deep no question, Madden is right that we are thin in position prospects no question but Steve in the MLB draft anything can happen. Sure the chances of Matt Wieters falling to the yankees is very very, very slim but it can happen. Nevertheless, the yankees have a plan. Last year the yankees stock piled on arms and did a good job of that and this year I assume they are trying to stockpile on position players.

The thing is this, big time bats who can help the yankees quickly are usually gone by the first 15 picks. When you look at this draft they have good amount of high upside HS players. Sure they can’t help us in the short term but if we cna draft a really good position player in HS who can be a legit star for the years to come I will wait.

Has Cashman fucked up on with some of the players over the years yes, but give the guy credit he fix a farm system that executives and scouts were saying that it would take 4 or 5 years to fix and he’s nearly finish if he can have a strong draft this year.

It’s funny how the media kill cashman saying how his plan is not working interms of going the future. Guys like Joel the idiot Sherman and Bill Madden need to understand that IT TAKES A WHILE YOU. THESE PLANS TAKE YEARS TO DEVELOP. Hopefully the yankees can have a big draft. Hey they have change their philosophy so far. Couple years ago, you think they are giving Betances 1 Million dollars in the 8th round? Hell no.
