typical Joe Torre ...

the guy just can't help himself. We get another good outing from a starter-Mussina goes 6full inn. An accomplishment for him and any Yankee starter. So what does Joe do? He uses 5(FIVE) more pitchers outta the pen to finish up a 6-2 game. This is exactly why all these other pitching issues are irrelevant, including Clemens. Torre wear these guys out and there is nothing left come sept/oct

Mike Francesca called The Rangers are pathetic team and worst team in baseball? Is the same Rangers team who sweep the Bluejays. Is Mike Francesca really a Yankees Fan? It seems He's bandwagon fan to me and love only Mickey Mantle. You don't get credit when Yankees are winning and critized them in your show.

How about Mets? I never heard you say Mets Play Triple-A Dback team which Mets owned by the way. Also Mets play an Old and Crunky Giants teams which are pathetic.

Meanwhile The Redsox continue to roll, Defeated the lifeless and pathetic Bluejays team. It always about the Yankees. Everybody hates the Yankees and being potrayed as Evil. Wfan is Mets station. Yankees Fan like myself doesn't have their Yankees radio station to listen to unlike the Mets.

Great to have you, Mike. You may not find a discussion of the Papelbon face in the archives (though I do refer to him as <a href="http://riveraveblues.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/anusface.jpg" rel="nofollow">Anus Face</a>), but you will find <a href="http://riveraveblues.com/2007/04/12/it-was-a-good-idea-in-theory/" rel="nofollow">proof that we're Simpsons fans</a>.

I just stumbled upon this blog a few minutes ago and I don't know if you folks are Simpsons fans but upon reading your Bill Simmons article I had a moment much like Milhouse had when he met a kid in Shelbyville who was also named Milhouse, causing Milhouse (Springfield Milhouse) to say, "I guess this is what it feels like when doves cry."

For years, I thought I was the only one who noticed that that fraud, Varitek, didn't take off his mask when 'fighting' A-Rod. But who am I to so callously insult a man with so much distinguished bravado that he wears a 'C' on his jersey.

Now, if you guys can show me something from the archives discussing the Papelbon 'meanface' (my other pet peeve) that he forcibly creates when pitching to appear at least 20 years old, then its entirely possible that you will see me outside of your window blasting Peter Gabriel from a boombox by days end.

Keep up the good work.

Hairston was in position to make the catch and got some leather on the ball. He just closed his glove too early. While it was a very well-hit ball by Matsui, it was definitely an error on Hairston.
