I'm a HUGE Horne fan, Marquez...not so much.

I'm sure plenty of teams would line up to get some of the pitchers the Yanks have in AAA and AA, but I'm guessing that Cashman isn't willing to deal them. Yeah the Yanks have had injuries, but the young guys did about as well as you could possibly ask in filling in.

Since Moses brought it up, it's worth mentioning; I thought there was something goofy in Santana's contract, so I looked it up.
"full no-trade clause for 2007-08 with top 3 in CY vote in 06 or 07"
That's from Cot's.

I know we love our Joba, Ian and McCutchen, with some more love for Horne, Marquez and Action-Jackson--but what is your sense from the rest of the league? Are people buying Yankee 'spects? Obviously Hughes, but beyond that?

I ask particularly because of two pending free agents--that switch hitter in Texas and the Twin City Lefty; can the Yanks be players without including Fabulous Phil?

p.s. What's up with Betances again?

So I didn't know anything about Hilligoss before this streak, so I looked him up just to get age and position. He will be 22 in a couple of weeks and plays shortstop.

Was he considered a legitimate prospect before this streak? 22 is a bit old for Charleston, no?

Re Tampa,, you really have to get down there before you get to any nonpitchers in the Yankee system with a real chance to contribute to the big league club down the line (possible exception of Duncan, Eric), no?
