Why is he still there? I think they're taking it easy with Joba because of last year with injury problems. I think it's clear Joba doesn't belong in Tampa anymore. He belongs at Trenton at least. I talked to one official, who had Joba in the top five pitching prospects in the game right now, with Lincecum, Bailey, and Hughes all in the big leagues and out of the discussion. That's some high praise. He changes speed well, locating the ball really well this year, even better than he did in college. He could be a workhorse and win 15-18 games a year. I'm a huge Joba fan. Last time i checked, the yankees were about winning and cashman is about saving some cash and building value.. This team is in no position to build value and it has two (at least) relief pitchers wasting space and costing the big league team wins because someone (Joe and Cash) have no faith in young arms. Listen if they hafta throw kyle otu there why not in the 6th.
