[...] For better or worse, the advent of the Internet has led to an increased attention on the young kids. Everywhere from blogs that focus exclusively on the minors to a revamped Baseball America website to an MiLB.com that nears MLB.com in its ability to deliver stats and video, prospects are everywhere. We, for example, have been able to track the progress of Jesus Montero since he was a wee lad making his states-side debut in July of 2007. As Mike duly noted in DotF that night, Montero homered in his first GCL AB. [...]

Mike R. - you looked at Justin Snyder's stats before they updated them to include last night's game - he's actually OBPing .514, not .500...

Six games(in the loss column) behind Cleveland for the wild card... we are getting the best pitcher anyone will get around the deadline(PHIL HUGHES) Karstens will solidify long relief

Andy Pettie has the best 2nd half numbers of anyone in MLB over the last 6 years other that Johan Santana

WANG is 7-1 with an ERA under 3.00 in last 10 starts

Matsui, Cano, Abreu, & Melky have been hitting much better lately

Fot the final two months of the season the rotation can be, should be, will be WANG, ANDY, ROCKET, HUGHES & MOOSE... yes, that's moose as your 5th starter

look at the schedule the rest of the season- games we should win through first week of august, then 3 rough weeks, then look at september- other than Boston MANY second division type teams

There is no way I'm ready to throw the towel in on this season.

NO FREAKIN WAY!!!!!!

Forget 'bout the Sox, lets just get the Wild Card and smoke some New England ass in the playoffs!!!!!!!

I just checked out Justin Snyder's stats over at milb.com. The guy has a freakin' .500 OBP. The guy is literally on base half the time!!!! I know this is the NY_Penn league, but from what I've read and seen I'm cautiously excited.
