Minky has made himself into quite the prospect. At this rate he'll crack the top 30 anytime now.

Mike, I pay a lot of attention to Ben Blumenthal...he is my son and I am stuck in the Middle East working for the Army. I depend on you guys and MILB.com to keep up. He caught 26 games in the GCL and I think he had two passed balls. He got promoted to Tampa when Cervilli got hurt. I read every article I can on River Ave Blues. Awsome site, just defensive about Ben.

Thanks again

Bill - If the problem is passed balls & wild pitches, than there's a good chance there was a change in scoring after the fact. It's also possible I made a mistake (which I've been known to do), but you don't see 3 PB that often, so it stuck out in my head. Glad to see that someone's paying attention though.

Ben - I've called him Silent Bob once or twice in DotF in the past. I wasn't sure if anyone got the joke though.

I guess you read a different log/box score than the rest of us. Blumenthal had one passed ball and Clagget had 3 wild pitches according to milb log.

What we could be seeing for pitchers at this time is a lot of guys hitting their individual IP/pitches thrown limits for the year. The minor league regular season ends next weekend, so some guys might be shutting it down until Instructionals or mini-camps this fall.

Anyone want to start trying to figure out who the Yanks send to the AFL? I'm guessing Claggett, Ohlendorff, Miranda, maybe someone like Hit Streak or Ajax who they want to push.

Also, Jairo Heredia hasn't pitched at all since lasting just 2 IP on the 15th. Something wrong there?

Kevin Smith: 3 for 4, 2 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 HBP - 7 RBI in his last 4 games

Have I really missed a Yankee farmhand named Silent Bob this whole year? Wow.

Haven't heard anything other than what they reported. $4.5M is a ton of money for a kid like that, but then again, since when has money ever been an issue for the Fightin' Steinbrenners?
