If I ran a team, I'd call up as many people as possible just to get them some experience, even if it's just sitting in the dugout. And if I'm not mistaken, Manning is a lefty, so who knows, maybe he gets Ortiz or Ibanez or Overbay or Crawford out in a big spot down the stretch.
