So congrats to the GCL Yanks on beating the GCL Dodgers 2-1 in the best-of-three series to win the GCL Title. Even though winning takes a back seat to player development in Rookie ball, it’s always a good thing to have young players get a taste of winning. There’s just no substitute.
Of the 5 remaining affiliates, 2 have already clinched their division (Scranton & Trenton), while none of the remaining 3 teams is more than 2.5 games off their division lead. There’s winning in the system from top to bottom, which shows not only what kind of depth the Yanks have, but also the kind of coaching and personel they have in place. Good times y’all, good times indeed.
