Angelini, if he signs, will go to the GCL. Very rarely does a high schooler go to the NY-Penn League, because it's basically like playing against a bunch of college juniors and seniors.

Off the top of my head, the only guy I can think of that went straight to NY-P from HS is Scott Kazmir, and he flat out dominated; 18 IP, 5 H, 34 K.

Maybe Edwar should get the next watch now that Joba's in the show.

Those draft signees should be released soon, you think they put Angelini in SI or GCL

I have long been an Eric Duncan skeptic, and I sense that others are coming around to my view. He'll tease you for a few days, then revert to abysmal. Here's a case in which the Yankees should have sent him down at least one level to demonstrate that he can succeed somewhere. Hurt his confidence? What kind of confidence could he have left?

Re: DoTF. I've been writing it in Mike's absence. He's back now, but I still might end up doing it tomorrow.

Zack, there wasn't another SI game on the schedule, I thought there would have been two as well, considering the rainout on Tuesday. But apparently there was not.

scott patterson has nothing left to prove. he's 28 and if he isn't promoted then they are wasting his prime as a pitcher.

AJax has really cooled off, his last 10 games he's batting with a .268/.318 obp but still hitting for power (.488 slg)

Who's actually been writing the DotF recently?

Snyder is tearing up the place, promotion? I think you missed a Staten Island game too, no? Didn't they play 2? Oh well...

Karstens stinks and should be replaced by Edwar. Brower I guess could get one more shot, and they do seem wedded to the idea of a long man, but come on. If we take both of them away, Torre should have no choice but to use them. Henn seems to be doing pretty well, still, in AAA too and if used normally could be as good/better than Villone, no?

It has an air of rehab by fire, but I think the fact that he only pitched in the two disasterous games (Clemens vs CWS and yesterday) means that he hasn't really gained Torre's trust.

I have absolutely nothing to add here other than to note - again - that Jeff Karstens has inexplicably gained Torre's trust despite allowing 8 ER in 6.1 IP since coming off the DL. Is this rehab by fire or just stupidity?

If the Rocket gets suspended Kennedy should make the spot start, it works out swell because they are basically in the same spot in the rotation

Brett G, even though the BA @ AAA isn't great should be a Sept 1 call up as a pinch runner specialist

...and YES , please bring Edwar & Britton up
