The coaches say he's a natural leader, his teammates love him, and the guy can play 2B and CF with plus defense and a servicable 3B. Carlos Gomez is doing some interesting stuff over at the BA site. Too bad one of those things was a two-part special on Phil Hughes' mechanics and how Gomez thinks he is an injury risk (gulp). He's hitting decently, but without a lick of power, in Low-A ball at 24 years old. Yes, pitchers do rave about PJ Pilittere's game-calling skills. I can see him backing up in the majors.
