  1. Mike R. says:

How about a Daniel McCutchen call-up for next years pen? He’s got the stuff and attitude for it. Any thoughts?

    • dan says:

we’ll have to see who they keep and who they decide to trade. I can’t see them going with a young enough bullpen to include whelan/mccutchen/edwar/britton and possibly beam, patterson or robertson. Theres also sanchez, cox, melancon, garcia coming back. Obviously not all of those guys will succeed though. They will trade some of them for hitting prospects presumably, although we have no idea who those guys will be.

  2. dan says:

im not sure whether or not to worry about mcallister. His peripherals have been pretty decent in his last 10 games, but the ERA is through the roof. A .379 BABIP will do that to you, but it still doesn’t seem right to me.

    • Mike A. says:

He’s fine, very good K/BB, more than a K per IP, good GB rate. Pruitt-Snyder-Sublett in the infield leaves something to be desired defensively. I’m sure more than a few bleeders made it just past their gloves.

  3. Dude says:

anyone have a scouting report on mccutchen?
