Let’s see that again

Suttle finally gets a hit
A sober reflection on "A fork in the road"

Long opposed to instant replay, Commissioner Bud Selig said today that he is open to the idea of fielding a recommendation from the General Managers on whether or not to implement the technology in the sport. I’ve been on the record in favor of instant replay in certain situations. Like many issues, people on both sides of the coin here feel very strongly about it, and it’ll be interesting to see if this goes anywhere.

Agreed, I want the human element in the game. A better solution is to hire some competent umpires, they’ve been absolutely terrible this year.

Awful idea under any circumstances. Baseball can be boring, and every team plays almost every day. The last thing it needs is anything to slow it down.

IR is a necessity to a game where it seems like every year the umps get worse and worse. every other major sport has it, why is baseball always the last to change? the RIGHT CALL is paramount to everything else. i would welcome some (any) form of IR in baseball.
