Gibb - I believe that's the same John Donovan who said at the beginning of the season that the Red Sox were better looking than the Yankees. That's just patently untrue--and I speak as a female. Donovan sounds like a huge Red Sox homer. But really, if the Red Sox are now the champagne of baseball, maybe the other teams will forget to bring their A game when the Yankees are in town and we can get back to dominating.

i don't know how freqently you guys answer questions posted in your comments section, but i have a serious one. John Donovan (who i usually like) wrote an article saying the Red Sox are the new champaigne of baseball, replacing the Yankees.

Is it just me or did the Red Sox not even make the playoffs last year?
How does one go about donkey punching John Dovovan? Thanks for you help,

Been a tough week... this song helps me get through... enjoy!

Raindrops in April and homeruns in binges
Games in October and Giambi syringes
The sight of my hand with four shiny rings
These are a few of my favorite things

Ticker tape autumns down the Canyon of Heroes
Multi-year deals with too many zeroes
A-bombs that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Boys in sharp pinstripes with blue cotton hats
Murderers Row and Cano with their bats
Bernie and Paulie and when we were kings
These are a few of my favorite things

When the Boss bites
When Levine stings
When I'm feeling sad...
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad!

I disagree that Gardner doesn't have game changing tools. But I know what you mean... Fowler and Maxwell are Names. But it's discouraging they haven't shown much talent so far and they still got the nod over Gardner. If not Gardner then someone else... but it seems pretty ridiculous to reward guys that are barely hitting .200 and haven't done anything impressive yet. Maybe it's just a rant but after watching both of them for the last several weeks there's no way I would put them on an all star team. They have projectability so they might prove me wrong down the road but right now this seems crazy.

I am gonna be honest, is it that big of a deal that Brett Garner didn't make the showcase. I am sorry but it's about tools and what can ya do man and whats eye popping. Brett Garner doesn't have that period. He's a nice player and I am not asking for a all star and all but he's never really impress me like that you know.

As for Kevin Whelan, this is kind of big for him, he needs to show what he got you know. We know the potential is their, it's just for him to put it together and if he does, man he's gonna be nasty.
