Report: Jays interested in Roger, Andy
ByAccording to a report in Metro, a free paper in Canada, the Blue Jays are interested in both Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte. This is one odd report. First, if the Jays want Roger Clemens and his overinflated salary, you guys have fun with that. Second, Pettitte has made it perfectly clear that he will pitch for the Yankees or not at all. Why the Blue Jays would even waste their time is beyond me.
It’s a safe way for JP to make headlines without actually risking any interest in return. That way he can say he “tried” to do something ths offseason.
Four words:
“Generating some buzz. hosers”
They’re just giving their fans something to talk about.

Torre told people at the Safe at Home Foundation dinner on Saturday night that Andy is very close to deciding to stay home…and I’m pretty sure Roger is going to be working for the Astros.
I was sorry to hear that about Andy but he sure as hell isn’t going to the great white north. hosers.

If Pettitte did not keep his word I would be pissed… He is one of the few stand up guys in baseball.. I doubt this rumor as much as all the rest.. no chance…
The answer is clear…. the strong Loonie is making Riccardi crazy.
Andy is not going to the freaking Blue Jays. If anything, he’s retiring. I would be upset but Andy is a standup guy.
Can we just remember to offer Pettitte arbitration this time?
Unlike Clemens after the 2003 season.
They should offer Clemens arbitration as well. You can never be sure with that guy.
Which will happen first, Roger and Andy pitching in Toronto, or AROD signing
10 year 350 million dollar contract with Kansas City?
I would love to see Arod pitching for Kansas City but he’s going to Kansas City as soon as Andy and Roger trade their cowboy boots for snow shoes.
With the Canadian exchange rates these days they could end up making more money by signing with Toronto.
