how about a drunk AND annoying sox fan? or is that oxymoronic?

That post has a “Humor” tag on it.

Apparently we need to put up a “there’s nothing more annoying than a reading-comprehension-lacking Yankees fan” post over at our place…

    ;-)

Well, to be fair to me, what I left out, Andy, was “there’s nothing more annoying than a gloating Red Sox fan who’s right.” Humor or not, your point about the relative value of Roger Clemens is on target and rather depressing. Too much money for too little return.

I saw the humor tag. No worries. Friendly ribbing. :)

Given the shitty events in the NY sports world (and the ridiculously
great times for New England sports fans), your sense of humor is sadistic at best.

No worries at all. Any one of us would have gladly traded Julian for Rogah straight up at the time, of course!

The Yanks resurgence toward the playoffs did start with his return (72-39 from June on). his 4.18 era over 99 ip was far better than TClip, DeSalvo, Igawa etc., but not worth $18 mil. so whether it was his on the field production, his ‘intangibles’ or just chance that the team won from that point on, we’ll never know for sure.

No problem at all with the post. We can poke fun at ourselves every once in a while, of course….
