Jeter, New York settle tax dispute
ByBack in November, we noted that Derek Jeter and the City of New York were fighting over taxes. Today, the Daily News tells us that Jeter and the City have reached a secret settlement. That’s the whole news though; no one knows what the terms of the deal are. So that’s that.

Jeter’s offer was this:
Nothing.
And he appreciated that Mayor Bloomberg himself put up the fee for the license.
Nice one! Godfather from Chicago.
seriously, ny protecting its star..if that was arod they’d be like, you owe us the total aount plus interest and damages and we want you to pay for court fees and a buffet spread at brunch
I would bet that a few funds changed hands, far less than the City was looking to grab, but they lacked any real proof.
