Baseball returned to Yankee fans today in the form of a loose, intrasquad game. The Goose beat the Gators 6-2 with the Gators committing six errors. Bryan Hoch’s got the pitching lines, and as I’ve said recently, just say no to Sean Henn. Because one intrasquad Spring Training game in February is the best indicator of how a pitcher will do all season.

I’m not a fan of Henn at all. Sure, he has some raw talent and has seen his role redefined too many times. But I can’t see how he’s a plausible bullpen option, even if he is left-handed. I’d rather carry an extra righty who can get guys out, than a lefty that could possibly get guys out.
Kay said the other day that Henn has no options left so he thinks theyll keep him on the ML roster just because they dont want to give up yet. Dont know how that meshes with what Girardi said the other day.
Left handed relief pitchers who throw hard will never run out of second chances.
which is why, even with a mediocre spring, he’ll have trade value when he doesnt make this squad, and cant be optioned back to Scranton.
Steve Howe anyone? lol
The really messed up part is that all of the regulars were out of the game by then. Henn got lit up by the B-squad.
second chances? please…make it 3rd or 4th or 5th. sorry to say it, but he is a loser.
If “two” clubs played today and each “needed” a lefty, check out how that worked out! Traber missed a valuable opportunity….in pre-preseason Game 1.
Get him a bodybag — as someone once said.
