Colin,
Nice to see another Sox fan on the site. I'm learning more and more as I go that people will disagree with a lot of what I have to say just because I'm a Red Sox fan, but the true classy users/posters here (and there are quite a few) are willing to listen to what you have to say and if they feel the need to disagree they will do so politely and they will use facts to back up their argument. I sometimes fall into the trap of shooting my mouth off, which is nobody's fault but my own, but above all, I try to be honest all biases aside.
I just want the folks here to know that not all Red Sox fans are stupid, useless, classless, delusional etc., just as I've learned that about yankee fans over the years and even more so on this blog.

See, some of these posts are what I can't stand about simple minded fans. I am a Sox fan who reads this site, so of course I question a lot of what people are saying. Yankeechic26...that was the dumbest thing I've ever read.

I obviously don't like the Yankees, but I never join in the "Yankees suck" chant and what other garbage the Sox fans do. No, Jeter doesn't suck, A-Rod certainly doesn't and so on. It's so dumb when people say that. And Yankees fans do the same thing too. I had the "pleasure" of sitting in the RF bleachers during a Yanks-Sox game and the Yanks fans had some stupid song they sang about Trot Nixon being a horses ass. Just stupidity at its finest..

Again, Papelbon can say whatever he wants to. He's earned that right as an elite player in this league. He didn't say anything that wasn't true. And I expect Big Stein to say something back, because he's a Steinbrenner, so I fully expect him to fire back. It's not "classless" that these media war is going on.

You don't seem to like some of the comments you're reading, but I bet you'll be back too.

In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance, you haven't...
the more you you insult us Red Sox fans when we're here, the more of our friends we're inviting to join us.

We can all get along if people will stop chucking insults back and forth. I'm just here to learn more about the yankees, their players and their fans.

Also, point of reference, the name calling between fans of each team did not start when arod hit town. It's been going on for decades and I've never heard him referred to as slappy mcpurple lips. Ever since he got to ny, I've heard yankee fans making fun of him moreso than Red Sox fans. He's done more to help us and than hurt us since he got there so we're pretty happy he staying.

I'll keep it simple.... it's just TOO easy to make fun of the Red Sox. You've got your guys taking off your shirts and dancing around despite the fact that his Pillsbury body looks like it has NEVER seen the inside of a gym, when they are wearing shirts they're skin tight see through lace, dancing a freakin jig on the mound in your underwear, dating the Penthouse Pet or whatever.... then you've got a kid who woke up one day and thought he found enough courage in his big boy pants to take on one of the steinbrothers....? Just FYI - the Red Sox are the ones who started calling a certain third baseman "slappy mcpurple lips" , and I'm sure that's not the only "nickname" they have coined.... if you don't like the comments or the articles it seems silly that you would still come back to this site.

Sorry, but if the Sox ever do let Papelbopn get away, he won't have to beg the yankees for a job. There'll be several teams lining up and the yankees will be one of them. Unless, of course, they avoid their recent practice of trying to sign anybody they feel the Sox are interested in. It's worked out well for the Sox (Damon, Clemens, Pavano), but I'd say the results are mixed at best for the yankees.

Good for papelboy. He seems to have forgotten it's the men with the pencils that ink their contracts. He'll come crawling and begging forgiveness from Hank one day.

I mean I guess when all is said and done Papelbum can always use his river dancing skills on one of those ridiculous reality shows, or he could dance his way into oncoming traffic. But hey yet we all forget the red sox and their fans are all class and man does it show. Why do I feel that he is going to get glorified for this on espn?, to which I will throw my breakfast up.
