If it isn’t Proctor or Rivera my world would fall apart, and Rivera’s on the Yanks, so that narrows it down!

That one’s understandable. Saito missed a nice chunk of ST with a calf injury, so he’s still a bit behind. Good opportunity to get him a cheap inning today.
i wouldn’t want Rivera used with a 5-run lead with a game the next day. with an off day i could understand.

I’m surprised Proctor didn’t retire or demand a trade when they hired Torre. Seriously.
He just sat there and cried.

I heard that Proctor will be used for innings 4-7 in all Dodgers games this season, regardless of score. “The Proctor Rules” will be created by the GM as a response to help keep Proctor’s arm from falling off.
Tanyon Sturtze is still looking for his arm; no word on its location.

It suddenly becomes clear: Torre didn’t turn down the Yank’s offer last year because of any strife he may have had with the front office or indignation about an incentive lain contract, he simply needed to focus on his new career ambition, to ruin Scott Proctor’s right arm. What Proctor’s arm did to Torre I’ll never know. What is certain, however, is that there was a sad man in LA the day Torre was signed.
LOL – read the headline on my blackberry after getting out of a business dinner tonight and started laughing! Met Darryl Strawberry at a cocktail party beforehand – pic and autographed MLB ball. Nice!
He tried to light his contract on fire on the infield but he ignited Juan Pierre’s by mistake. While the Dodgers ownership was delighted by this mishap, Torre was furious because he couldn’t play his overrated veteran, hence why Proctor came out today in a meaningless appearance. At least Torre used him against a lineup that couldn’t hit MY fastball, let alone Proctor’s.
