I can justify most of Cashman's bad moves, but this one kills me because he tired to save money by signing Igawa and not Ted Lilly. Ironically, he wasted more money than he would of saved. If there needs to be a long man, I'm all for Rasner. But, I don't think they should carry a long man just to have a long man- would rather see Traber, Patterson, Oly in the pen along with Joba, Mo, Farns, and Hawkins. My only concern is that he'll need that splitter working for him the second or third time through the league, but it can take most of the season before even division rivals figure out a relief pitcher.
