If you look at any player in Double A, you will see a very good player (let alone Triple A), they wouldn't be there if some talent wasn't present . That's the problem. I'm sure there is an upside to Igawa, but is it worth the dollars and the time that have been invested. If the Yanks get an offer they should take it and cut their loses, if not, give it to the end of the season and see if a settlement (buyout) can be reached. It may be in Igawa's best interest to go back to Japan and be a star rather than waste his time toiling in the minor leagues.
