I really hate that the Yankees and Mussina are so damn stubborn and keep pitching to Manny. Moose has an 85mph FB (when he's on) that he throws only on the outside part of the plate. That, my friends, is going to end up on the seats everytime if he continues to pitch to Manny. Just throw curveballs on the dirt, hope he chases one, if not, oh well, get the next guy.

I love how my idiot red sux roommates are so biased that they claim that the last pitch was obviously a strike. If NESN actually showed replays they could have clearly seen that the pitch was in the other batter's box. But then again, you really didn't need a replay to realize how horrible a call that was... what a shame too, I was really feeling like we might have done something incredible right there, but then the umpire decided to take things into his own hands and end the game. Not saying that we would have won the game had he not called that strike (obviously), but as a professional ump, you can't take the bat out of the hitter's hands in a big moment like that and suddenly decide a pitch 2 feet off the plate is a strike. What a joke.

I despise bringing a closer in in a non-save situation. It's almost a guarantee they will give up runs. It's like they don't know that they can't pitch themselves into a save situation. Oh well, another fun series, only 13 more of these games to go before they end up at 9-9 or 10-8 overall.
Be safe, see you later!

It doesn't bother me because it gets us one run closer. I think it would bother me if it were a blowout.

On the bright side, we did score 5 runs off their best two pitchers.

I don't know about anyone else but does it bother people (and I am a big Melky fan) that Melky is celebrating hitting a homer with the team losing in the 9th!
