Personally, I think Hawkins 3 million would have been better used on tough signs and Latin America.

this is easy to say now that we know Bruney, Patterson, and Traber look good.

at the time he was signed, this couldn’t have been less of a sure thing.

you can never have too many decent arms, and that $3M isn’t going to stop the Yankees from doing anything they want to do.

all he has to do is wait for Farnsworth’s contract to expire or for Joba to go to the rotation.

i like Britton, but whose spot should he have? Bruney looks awesome. Traber has been great.

last year, it was completely different. the Yankees were desperate for help, and for whatever reason, when he was up, Torre wouldn’t use him.

this year, there are simply more arms than spots. what a great problem to have.

He’s not 100% ready to go yet, so he’s working in Extended Spring. He’ll join Tampa shortly.

David Robertson gets overlooked a little. We always hear about Melancon,Sanchez,Cox. At least Robertson isn’t recovering from something and he’s closer to the majors then those other guys and is doing quite well.
