The two draftees in the College World Series were off today. Sandwich rounder Jeremy Bleich and Stanford will take on Georgia in the winner’s bracket tomorrow at 7pm EST. The game will be on ESPN2, but Bleich won’t pitch since he just started yesterday’s game. If Stanford loses, you might see him come back on three days rest to help the Cardinal stave off elimination on Wednesday.
Jack Rye (13th round) and Florida State will face Miami in loser’s bracket tomorrow at 2pm EST, loser goes home. You can see the game on ESPN2. The winner will face the loser of the Stanford-Georgia matchup on Wednesday, loser again goes home. With all due respect to the Seminoles, Miami is just too good of a team to go two-and-out. Then again all three CWS games so far this year have been upsets, so what do I know.
