Thanks for the info, Mike. I recall Norton being in BA's prospect handbook in 2007 and with all the pub his fellow 2006 draftees have gotten recently I figured I would inquire. As for Reyes, I'm surprised there's been no mention of him since he was considered one of the Yanks few LHP prospects (which isn't saying much, I know, though Bleich will hopefully change this going forward).

Norton blew out his shoulder in May-ish 2007 and needed surgery to repair his labrum and rotator cuff, and I haven't heard anything since. He should be close to coming back soon assuming there were no setbacks, etc.

Reyes ... I honestly have no idea. He was on SI's roster earlier last week, but no anymore.

The Yankees released Poterson before the 2007 season, and he's currently hitting .241-.368-.394 in his second season with the Chillcothe Paints in the independent Frontier League. Yeah.

I realize this is probably not the best place to ask this question but I'll ask anyway (plus, I have yet to find another site online with such a concentration of astute yankee fans with respect to the prospects in the NYY system). What became of the following guys:

RHP Tim Norton, LHP Angel Reyes, OF Jon Poterson

I think I read somewhere that Norton is hurt and I'm guessing Reyes is hurt too and Poterson is out of baseball, but in any case you really don't see much news, at least not lately, about this group of minor leaguers.

GCL Yankees actually played a double header yesterday. They won the first game 2-1.

Knowing that there might be an outside chance at MLB spot I expected a lot better from Dan McCutchen.

Don't forget the other Duncan (Eric) went 3-4. He may start one of his hot periods

no Venditte, huh?

bc he pitches with both arms, does that mean he can pitch about twice as much as a normal reliever bc he's spreading the wear & tear across two limbs as opposed to one like everyone else?

i'm sure not double, but maybe 50% more, yes?

If A Jax can keep this up, how long before he's in Triple A?

Off topic a bit, I'm not sure if anyone would know, but does anyone know of a decent Reds Blog?
