No, because it's happening to the Yankees. If it were the Red Sox getting robbed, Selig would fire the lot of them. And hire George Mitchell to recruit a new set of umpires.

i understand all that but you know what melky. how bout picking up your lineup who got the bases loaded down 1 in the ninth and pick up your hall of fame closer whose pitched to much the last couple days. basehit up the middle probably wins the game . and how bout not swinging at the second pitch. the closer right there is under immense pressure you gave the pressure no chasnce to set in.

you dont know that. we know what melky is we dont know wat brett is. maybe hes a quad A player but then again maybe hes the one player that defies all scouts and becomes a solid fixture in the majors and evolves into our lead off man of the future.

How is Melky underperforming??? His numbers r basically right on line with the previous 2 seasons, and considering he is the 9th hitter its more than enuff. Cano is really annoying the shit out of me too, but he has been too good in his career to give up on him. My favorite player ever (along with Mattingly) is Jeter, and to be honest he has by far been the least productive hitter in the everyday lineup. It doesnt help that Posada is still basically a 2 out of 3 days catcher for the moment, really does hurt the lineup when he isnt there everyday.

The whole lineup today was a joke basically. It took until they were down 2-0 in the 7th to start to hit, and even then as usual they leave 5 runners on base in the last 2 innings. How in the world you score 9 runs in an amazing comeback against one of the best pitching staffs in baseball against Toronto, then in the following series lose 2-1 and 3-2 to the freakin Royals with 2 games in between where you score 18 runs on 30 hits or so is beyond amazing. Against the Royals we had 2 starters give up 2 runs in 8 innings and LOSE both of those games. That is inexcusable and the blame goes to the entire lineup as a whole.

Sorry but I don't want someone who can't put up an OPS+ of 100 playing CF for the Yankees. I don't care how good of an arm he has.

we dont need to trade for one i feel we have one at trip a in gardner ...unlike alot of the yankee prospects i get this feeling that hes underrated...he reminds me of the scrappy do little things to win type ball playa this team is missing. alot of times our prospects get overhyped but in gardners case i think its the opposite.

I've noticed some of you like to rip my posts apart mainly because of the length. My guess is that because it was so long..I should have continued to make it longer by talking about Edwar Ramirez, etc...and some more of the positive things that have been happening since the Yankees have been plummeting...I'm sorry but I've been upset with them for quite some time and just like today...the starting pitching does awesome...time for the unthinkable to happen and ruin that good start by Iron Mike...Rivera gives up another home run to Guillen.
When it rains...it pours.
