Yeah, Veras has been looking really good lately and handling high pressure situations. Tomorrows available pitchers look to be Hawkins, Ramirez, Ohlendorf and Veras for a close situation.

You know what, scratch that. He did pitch in four straight games last week so I wouldn’t push it. It does mean Jose Veras is the closer tomorrow night unless Kyle Farnsworth’s arm and back rebound well 36-hours after pitching in back-to-back games.

Yeah, but now Rivera has pitched 3 days in a row, Farnsy and Veras have pitched back to back days. It will be interesting to see who Giardi would call upon for a save situation. Ramirez, Hawkins (NO) or Ohlendorf.

Dominance: 40 K’s in the last three games. 14K with petites start, 11K with Rasner’s, and 15K with Joba’s today.

If true, this speaks to a lack of mental discipline on Farnsworth’s part. He pitches badly, decides to try next time, and does better. It’s a loser’s mind-set, one I’d never want on any team.

I also suspect old Kyle isn’t the brightest bulb in the box.
