Draftees in the College World Series
Stanford beat Miami 8-3, and the top ranked ‘Canes are going home. Jeremy Bleich did not pitch, and will start Friday’s game against Georgia, which you can see on ESPN2 at 2pm EST. Stanford has to win Friday and then again on Saturday to advance to the Finals, but all Georgia has to do is win one of those games and they’re in.
The Rookie GCL Yanks kick off their season tomorrow against the GCL Indians. Unfortunately I won’t be around for it, I’ll be out of town most of tomorrow and all of Friday to attend a graduation. Ben said he’ll link to the box scores the next two nights (there, now he’s locked into it), but there won’t be any lengthy updates as usual. I’ll be back Saturday.
