Yankee great to miss the All Star Game
So what's 'wrong' with the Yankees?

Haha, it’s only Mark Brackman of the Oneonta Tigers. Hey, it fooled me when I opened the Staten Island box score, why should you guys miss out on all the excitement? ;)

Yankee great to miss the All Star Game
So what's 'wrong' with the Yankees?
  • Greg G.

    Mike…not cool, man. :-)

So is it me, or do the Tampa Yankees have about 15 games to make up this season?

  • A.D.

Triple header would be AWESOME, well probably not for those playing, and definitly not for the pen, but still

    • Mike A.

There’s usually a few tripleheaders in college each year, especially now with the compacted schedule.

  • Mike R.

Cruelest headline since April fools day 2007. :(

  • A.D.

Banuelos was born in 1991….wow, and should be Mexican Gangster Jr.

Nice little AAA debut for Aceves

  • Mike A.

For the second time in three days, there’s some mighty good stuff going down in Chaves Ravine.

    • greg

      you jinxed it

  • Mike R.

I have been eager to see what Banuelos can do ever since I read the first report on him out of EST. More thn one person has stated that he could be a special kind of prospect.

    • A.D.

      and left handed….always a bonus

    • dan

I don’t know anything about him other than the fact that he’s the first prospect I’ve ever noticed was younger than me.

      • Babe’s Ghost

Just wait til the star you watched grow up from his rook season starts getting slow and people start saying he’s done… and you think, hey he’s younger than me.

        • MD

hey, I did that with Ron Guidry………

  • A.D.

Brewer seems to be having the best season at A- this year, is he that good or just off to a good start?

  • Reggie C.

That headline was vicious … plain vicious.

  • Travis G.

and just like that, Aceves leapfrogs Igawa on the depth chart. (not hard to do though.)

how long are Sanchez and Bruney going to be in the GCL?

    • A.D.

If he keeps pitching the way he has been he’ll Jump Rasner & Ponson

    • Jamal G.

Brian Bruney is reportedly going to be promoted to Double-A Trenton on Saturday.

“Another injured pitcher, Brian Bruney (foot), has completed his assignment to the Gulf Coast League and will move up to Class AA Trenton on Saturday.”

      • Mashmore

Bruney will pitch two innings in a start Saturday and be backed up by Chase Wright…

He may actually be in Trenton as early as tomorrow.

        • Jamal G.

Great interview with Mark Newman, Mike. Especially the news on Jose Tabata, people were predicting that hamstring to sideline him for the remainder of the season.

          • Mashmore

Thanks. It still may cost him his season…as he said, different guys heal in different timeframes. But the plan as of right now is that he’ll be re-joining the team somewhat shortly. I’d guess-timate the last week in July or first week in August.

  • dan

    Go fuck yourself, Mike.

    • dan

The RAB mobile site opened when I opened RAB, so I didn’t see the opening line… I had to anxiously wait for my slow internet to load the next page.

    • Number 27

you guys are a bunch of dickheads.

      • Geno

        tough crowd

      • dan

        sarcasm, my friend.

Betances walks were up again… but no ER’s are all you can ask for

  • Joltin’ Joe

Apparently it is Wordekemper’s fault that Melancon sucked tonight.

    • Mashmore

Melancon was good through two…got knocked around a little bit in his third inning of work. I think two of the four runs charged to Melancon were inherited runners given to Wordy…but after a real quick first and decent second, the third inning is what got Melancon.

  • McCaff

Wow my heart skipped a beat when i read that. I hate you, and now won’t sleep tonight. But wow, i can’t wait till next year.

  • Jamal G.

Damn Blue Jays, according to PeteAbe they changed up their rotation so Doc Halladay can make the series opening start on Friday. Booo. We still dodge A.J. Burnett though.

    • Ben K.

We’ve beat him once; we’ll beat him again.

  • Alan

Its great to see Bruney back on the mound, him getting back to the Yankees this season would be a big boost to an already pretty good bullpen. Any scouting reports for him in terms of his velocity/control so far?

  • Tripp

Hopefully, once Bruney is ready for MLB action that will be the end of Hawkins.

  • JohnC

We actually have had more success against Halladay than Burnett.
