CC, Wang, Sheets, Joba, Hughes/Horne would be a pretty killer rotation

but i don't think the FO would do it, what with he years, his injury history, him possibly blocking a prospect deserving and cost controlled, etc?

That...wasn't a good game...both teams, even without some of their better hitters, squandered opportunities, ran into outs, and seemed to be in a general malaise.

Boston is unlikely to catch Tampa Bay without an improved bullpen and new york is 10 games behind Tampa in the loss column. I wouldn't say either team should be too excited right now.

Not exactly sure what you're trying to say, or imply, but when I made that comment earlier I was speaking from my experience watching him over the past few seasons. It was a comment regarding their weak bullpen as a whole. I knew he'd be coming in because they don't have anybody else they trust and that it this team's biggest need, an improved bullpen.

TB is laughing right now because they know the Sox and yanks still have to play 9 more times this season...which likely means 4-5 lossess apiece. I'd say they're sitting pretty, barring a catastrophe.

Exactly Joe, I consider this great news, if the deal is finalized this is great news for the yankees. Now we dont have to face him in the playoffs again until the WS (if we get that far but thats a different story) opposed to if he was traded to an AL team. Plus, and this is a big plus, the Brewers dont have the money to re-sign CC and sheets (who is in a contract year i think). Could they even re-sign sheets the way the market is these days? Is it too much to think the Yankees could sign CC and Sheets? Probably not, but either would be fine.

What a stupid trade by Milwaukee. Now they have a dominant top-2 in the rotation with a mediocre middle and back, and they just lost LaPorta and others. Everyone knows that established minor leaguers are more valuable than picks, hands down.

But this obviously helps us because he will be open to negotiations at the end of the year. Hello, C.C.

All I know is that A.J> Pierzynski must be the biggest a-hole in MLB if the players didn't vote for him.
