are we going to see another poor 2nd half for Jason Jones?

  2. A.D. says:

    Charleston lost 6-1

  3. Steve says:

Outside of Melancon, pretty rough night all around for the top prospects.

  4. dan says:

I don’t remember where you had him, but Pending Pinstripes had Heredia at 7th overall I believe. He didn’t really deserve to be that high, but he was up there in some people’s minds.

  5. A.D. says:

    Malec keeps rolling

The full game recap from the Staten Island, Brooklyn game is on my website. There are errors in the boxscore so the information you have posted is off a bit. Tim Dennehy pitched the seventh inning, Jacinto Gonell pitched the eighth and Andy Shive pitched the ninth. I sent it in to MLBAM to fix the mistakes so hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow.

That was some shot by Baisley today and Grote had a nice line drive homer. No one thought we were going to play today, we were all preparing for a rain out.

Tomorrow Nick Montgomery pitches for SI. In case any one is wondering SI is close to having a total of 14 sold out games this season.

  7. Manimal says:

wheres bretty? and anyone else think giese is the answer to the yankees 5th man in the rotation problem.

  8. Jake says:

“First, Phil. Then, Joba. Now, IPK. All better than Daniel Bard.”

    Buahaha.

  9. NYFan50 says:

How many more innings does Melancon have in him?

  10. Vladdy Is Daddy says:

wow staten island is putting together a better season than i expected.

  11. Jerkface says:

Who is Baisley, he seems old? Is he a prospect or some kind of filler guy?

  12. TheLastClown says:

Even going 2 for his last 10, A-Jax is still 16 for his last 38…..that’s .421

    Still inspired :)

  13. John NY says:

Is there a chance the yanks call up Melancon and Jackson when the rosters expand?

    • dan says:

As Mike said above, he’s already on pace to throw 90-95 innings by the end of August. So adding more innings in September would probably not be a good idea.
