Wright v. Dreckman reaches Supreme Court

By Joseph Pawlikowski

Okay, so it’s not from the most credible news source. But it appears that David Wright is making progress in challenging a check-swing appeal, in which Bruce Dreckman ruled against the Mets third baseman. The takeaway quote: “The decision was first handed down in New York’s lowest circuit court, Shea Stadium.” Give it a read. I guarantee you laugh.

“And more recently, a 2006 decision in the case of Rodriguez v. The Fans of New York cemented the legal precedent established in the 1940 case of Williams v. The Fans of Boston, which made it clear that baseball fans are free to boo, no matter how nonsensical it may seem, players on their home team.”

Hah hah… it’s funny ’cause it’s true.

tommiesmithjohncarlos,

You could be a writer for The Onion.

radnom says:

um….he was quoting the article…..

That’s not me, that’s from the Onion. From the article.

Andy In Sunny Daytona Beach says:

I know that its not you. I’m saying that you COULD be a writer for the Onion based on your previous posts. Sorry that I look like an idiot, but its easy for me.

no problem.

I have to admit, one of my favorite posts on here was getting “two black fists up” from a guy named “Andy in Sunny Daytona Beach”. On the unintentional comedy scale, that’s golden.

Andy In Sunny Daytona Beach says:

I’m a rebel in disguise, my friend.

Awesome.

Btw, in case you missed the latest episode of The Dark Side with Nat X, the show that’s so black that Whitey will only let it be 15 minutes long, feel free to come over and watch it anytime. I’ve got ‘em all TiVo’ed.

The analysis from Kruk is just classic.

You know, if John Kruk actually knew who Samuel Alito was, he’d probably think he really was an asshole…

The Onion is awsome…this issue they have a better article than that…It is about how Albert Pujols is the most awkward first baseman in the league for baserunners to talk to.

I know it’s off topic, but did the Yankees sign Sexon? I was half listening to the radio and I thought I heard that.

radnom says:

yeah, 1.5 mil prorated deal

seems a little steep if you ask me

If that’s true, that’s awesome.

1.5 mil prorated (which is like 600K) will be paid for in concession sales by tomorrow. That’s what Big Bank Hank likes to call “walking-around money”.

radnom says:

oddly enough I made that up expecting someone to get pissed off

You shoulda went with a 6M prorated deal. THAT woulda pissed some people off.
