See, situations like this is exactly why we should bring up Carl Pavano. Just keep him in Texas and have him pitch every game we play there. Eff pitch counts or any of this no back to back days pitching crap.

Realistically we only play in texas 3-4 times a year (when we don’t have Houston interleauge), might be better off to take 4 losses to begin the season and work off of that.
We usually kick ass in Arlington though. That’s why this injury crap is so frustrating. I think they said the Yanks have gone 11-1 in their past twelve games in this ballpark.
We don’t need to boycott Texas altogether. If Boomer wants to make a comeback, just tell him to get ready for whenever the series in Arlington is every year. And maybe we can petition the MLB to have the little league-style pinch runner for whenever a pitcher gets on base.
Don’t forget Pettitte had elbow issues when pitching for Houston and has felt fine since leaving the state.

Texas has zero redeeming qualities- it is hot, the barbeque is better in Kansas City, the Cowboys are assholes, and everyone down there is, as Vincente Fox coined it, a ‘windshield cowboy’.
That being said, I belive we should go and see about signing Tom Browning and keep him on the roster to pitch in Texas- that way, we have a 48 year old leftie and we can be witness to horrific arm snapping sounds during his delivery.
If there is a team that needs a indoor stadium, its Arlington. God DAMN. Thats 2 yankees pitchers that had to leave a game early because of muscle stiffness.

I think, if your animus is towards the current occupant of the White House, that you should have that rephrased as “Republicans not welcome on this site” as GWB is far from being a Conservative. Conservatives don’t double the size of the Department of Education, increase federal spending by $1 trillion in 8 years, have a Wilsonian foreign policy, or evade the Constitution. Of all the candidates who ran this year, probably Ron Paul is the only one who could be labeled ‘Conservative’.
