Death by MLB Advertising

By Benjamin Kabak

Spare us the pain and suffering. According to an MLB.com Press Release, everyone you wouldn’t want to see, with the exception of Dane Cook, in an MLB commercial will soon be on TV to remind us that “There’s only one October.” If there’s any consolation in the Yanks’ disappointed play this year, it will be avoiding these commercials if our team doesn’t make the playoffs.

I hate those commercials

RustyJohn says:

Timothy Hutton? Celebrity? Has he done any movies since “Taps”?

Totally off subject- but “Taps” just reminded me of my all-time favorite George C. Scott movie- “Hardcore”. Check out the clips on YouTube- fantastic.

I dont even know who youre talking about, but I’m assuming he’s doing an “October” commercial

RustyJohn says:

Yeah, the article said they are having TImothy Hutton doing a spot- it must be 1980s “celebrities”- they can drag out Bronson Pinchot, C. Thomas Howell, and Ralph Machio too.

No Vickie the Robot? No Rick Schroeder? No Schneider?

Sound’s bad – but Dan Cook – worst ever. After last year they should make an auction to charity… bid for the right to punch Danny boy straight in the face. I would give a weeks pay easily.

Macphisto says:

You mean including Dane Cook. The most unfunny, unoriginal, downright bad comic EVER.

Dave says:

come on, Dave Cook blows. You can’t seriously like that jagoff

BaltimoreYankee says:

3 words: Dee Vee Are. Seriously, just record the games, start about an hour in and skip all the commercials.

Dylan says:

Yeah, but there’s Stewie… that’s pretty sweet.

Aloysius says:

Good God I hate The Family Guy…
