I want him to do as well as anybody else, but the fact is hes played lackadaisically all year (tell me he doesn't look lazy on defense?). And I don't need to give ideas for Robinson Cano to come in better prepared for the season, thats a insipid comment if there ever was one. Its along the same vein as "Well, you can't play major league baseball so who are YOU to criticize?" A player as good as Robinson Cano doesn't "slump" for half the season without a reason, so I'm chalking it up to preparation and a little bad luck. Yes, his BABIP was lower earlier in the season, but that wasn't all that was going on. If you want to keep your eyes shut and pretend hes playing well go ahead, I'm just no so damned blind. I don't mean that the Sox FO said something about the guys after they left, I was more or less referring to the writers at the Globe and guys like Gammons. He's as nice a guy as you'd ever want to meet, polite, accomodating and a guy who lives and loves baseball. He is an Angels homer, no doubt, but conceited and arrogant he's not.
