But if Giambi can get a multi year offer elsewhere, he might decline the arbitration. Or there's an agreement in the original contract with the Yanks where they offer it and he declines. The Yankees RARELY have a problem with this arbitration stuff. They pay top dollar for their free agents so this book keeping stuff should be taken care of when they sign the deals. Yep.
