especially where they usually pick in the draft, which is at the end of every round, and when most of the time guys like Price and Smoak are taken, there's no fault in going for high upside guys like a Joba or a Brackman. Safe, average picks will have meant no Joba, Jackson, Melancon, Betences...See where I'm getting at...3 of those guys alone are the yankees top 3 prospects with Betences being arguable while Joba is arguably the prize arm in the whole org not named Mo

The yanks should ALWAYS gamble on upside players.

There is zero downside. Money? This organization prints money.

Mike, I am looking forward on hearing about Brackman back on the mound, but what's the latest news (if any) on Christian Garcia?

Low-ceiling 'safe' picks are the fastest way to kill a farm system.

Brackman may not work out (most draft picks don't), but if you keep selecting high-ceiling talent, then enough will work out. There are no short cuts to building a farm system, so time shouldn't be an issue.

Humberto Sanchez is also 26. As much as I want to see what he can do as a starter, he needs to be in the majors ASAP.

Wait a sec... Pavano was giving tips to Brackman?

WHY THE FUCK WOULD WE EVER ALLOW CARL PAVANO WITHING 500 YARDS OF ANDREW BRACKMAN?

I can already picture Brackman's arm literally ripping itself off his body as he throws his new "Pavano change"...
