Obviously a Damon-Girardi disconnect as correctly noted by Michael Kay after the Minnesota game where Joe thought he should sit out a game rather than play on turf (did he forget about the DH?) when he was the hottest hitter on the team then slumped for 10 days.

One of the things I hope to see happen is getting rid of some of these DH types. If we go into next year with 3 DH’s again, thats just one less bench player or reliever we can carry. And the fielding rates in the OF and at 1B this year were horrendous.

Damon or Matsui, but I hope we don’t have both on the team again next season. According to Heyman, Damon is a bit unhappy with Girardi for a reason I find incomprehensible. Maybe they can deal him this year.

I don’t think Matsui will be playing left field on a regular basis again, unless they decide to go with Damon in CF and don’t get another OFer. In which case, Mats/Damon/Nady will be the worst defensive OF in baseball and they’ll have to each OPS+ 130 to make up for all the balls hit into the gaps and extra bases taken on throws.

He’s a DH now.

A fourth of the time? That’s a problem unique to you then. Mike, Joe and I load this site way more often than just about anyone else here, and we rarely, if ever, get this error. It’s probably your setup unless you can pinpoint something server-side.

I don’t mean to be contradictory but I’ve spent a lot of time on this problem over the last few months, and I’ve yet to come up with anything that pinpoints a problem on our end.

What Javascript error are you pulling down?

Additionally, for a mobile version not loading on an iphone, anything more than 5 comments is a significant drain on resources. If anything, it’s a caching error and not a JS error.

Furthermore, we need a mobile plugin that allows for mobile posting.

Anyway, if you want to help me out troubleshooting this, just e-mail me. It’s easier than doing comments and I’d love to solve this problem.

Yeah it is buggy…I would call a site that result in a JS error about 1/4 of the time as pretty unusable. Not to mention you can only load 5ish? comments at a time..thats also pretty bad, it is much easier to navigate the full version of the site (on my ipod at least).

It’s not my setup, I’m actually well verse in computers and its definitely a server side issue. This has happened to me on multiple computers with Firefox, Opera (and right now i’m using the new Google Chrome and when I went to the main page it was redirected to the mobile version.)

Anyway, just trying to help.

Sometimes i get the non-mobile version when I’m on my mobile, and sometimes I get the mobile version when I’m at my PC. I agree though, the mobile version of this site is COMPLETELY unusable. They would be better of just disabling it.
