Thanks Accent for that article, very informative, even it was a bit confusing. I think the Dick Mills site (pitching.com) may actually be better. He preaches a different type of pitching style (a la Lincecum) that puts less stress on the arm, elbow and shoulder.

If we can up grade on Nady...go for it!
As long as we still have A-Rod, Posada, Matsui and Cano, all back to back we can live with Brett, Jeter in the 1st and 2nd spots. Who will be batting 3rd...Cano, Nady or ??? Do you move Jeter to the 3rd spot, he can hit at a good .300+ clip and hits with runners in scoring position (except this year,DPs)? Many good questions for the winter. 27/09.

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on the pitching motion and what causes injuries, but the general consensus is that Marshall is a crank. Check the article under my name for more information.

I'm unaware of the work of Dick Mills, and I have no idea if he's a worthwhile instructor or not.

That said, I'd assume that the Yankees have access to all the latest data on pitchers, their motions, and working towards an optimal delivery for every pitcher in their system. It's always possible to give bad advice, but the impression I'm under is that the Yankees have an excellent mL instructional system in place.

Don't tell anyone, but the Yanks probably will need an upgrade over X. Nady before too long also. He didn't exactly awe in September.

I would welcome a trade of Jonny and arbitration for Bobby. Then trade Bobby along with Johnny...if Bobby excepts. We really don't need either one of them next year, both of them are liabilities in the OF.
We have IFs in the OF for next year...X-Man-LF/RF, Brett-CF, (Melky?) FA-RF!?
I know some think with Brett in CF is a bad idea but, I believe in him as long as we have guys to knock him in. Sept., is not a good time to judge a player but...he has shown a big improvement, "Brett makes shit happen" (as someone said). 27/09.

After we see the fallout of who accepts arbitration and stuff, and can better assess what's available on the market for OFers and such...what would people think of trading Damon? He's coming off a great year with the bat, and is thus our most marketable vet. He's also likely to regress, but a team looking for a Proven Winner and Proven Leadoff Man could probably be talked into taking him pretty easily. We're going to have a CF issue to face anyhow. If Bobby accepts arbitration, that gives us a glut of corner guys. Damon could bring back a solid return, I think.

I think he has too many big-league innings to go to any of the fall leagues, no? And maybe they don't want him shutting it down and then cranking it back up for winter ball only to shut it down in time for spring training.

27/09... along with good pitching, defence and a much younger athletic team would go a long way in helping. 27/09.
