This is a bit of an overreaction. You're basing some sweeping conclusions on a 300-word AP article that tells us nothing other than the fact that the people at the top of the Yankee organization all sat in a room together. Would you rather the Yanks bar the people who run the team from meeting? Perhaps, next week, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada and Robinson Cano can meet to discuss the future of the team instead.

"I know I am being a baby but why cant they just say it definitively Joba will never pitch out of the bullpen again. Why do they have to qualify it with things like “The Plan right now…”

Why should they tell you something that may only be true dependent on how their offseason moves go? If it's not definite, would you prefer to be lied to?

"This is silly. What else would you have them do? Spill the beans for their winter plans?"

Hank did that last year.

"Start tampering with players?"

Hank did that in August.

"Your bad feeling is based more on a lack of perspective on the role of Hank’s comments in discussing this meeting than it is on anything they talked about during the meeting."

My bad feeling is based PLENTY on the fact that in a strategic meeting involving team building, Hank Steinbrenner, Lonn Trust, and Randy Levine are doling out their unqualified opinions.
VERY BAD NEWS, FOLKS. VERY BAD.

I'm not even sure I understand the argument for keeping him the bullpen. The Yankees have gaping holes in the rotation and aside from the innings concerns I dont see why you wouldnt want the guy who was arguably your best starting pitcher last year in the bullpen. And I think the innings concern isnt even as strong of an argument anymore because there is a thought that the transition may have attributed to the arm injury at the end of the year.

They talked all day, ended up doing nothing and Hank called it "a productive day"?
I have a bad feeling about the next season.
