What I meant by the last sentence is people who are paid weekly or every 2 weeks tend to miss 2-4 paychecks by either figuring their pay as 4 times a month or twice a month. In this case substituting every two weeks for semimonthly is of course adding 2 checks that won’t be there.

Semi-monthly is not the same as “every 2 weeks.” For average workers an extra 2 paychecks a year or two fewer might only be a difference couple grand or less, but with C.C. that’s an extra million. I have worked jobs that paid every 2 weeks and ones that paid twice a month. There is a difference. In this case a big one- though 2 paychecks is also a significant amount of money to most “regular folks” as well.

I have found it’s a pretty common error though, especially among my friends. People have a habit of losing 2-4 paychecks a year for some reason.

Also they probably won’t be paying luxury tax because under MLB’s rules, teams that build new stadiums can deduct the building costs from the luxury tax payments.

plus he’s prob not gonna make more money or last longer than this contract guarantees him. If he were 28 like CC i could see it making sense but AJ is 32 and this contract would probably allow him to retire a yankee at 37.

Jaret Wright cost the yankees $18M, not $31M.

and he sucked, but he did hold down the #5 spot adequately in 2006.

he was a bust, but more of a minor bust.

also, and this is an argument i don’t want to rehash, but he was most likely not a Cashman signing.
