He's project at -8 runs there by CHONE for 2009, was -16.07 against average by PMR, was -15 by the Fielding Bible's Plus/Minus system (the 5th worst CF in baseball by that measure), and he was -9 FRAA by Baseball Prospectus' system. He's not a good CF, and he's most definitely not worth Ian Kennedy. But Ankiel doesn’t play a strong centerfield.
