Well they made a REALLY bad decision. They gave away Elvis Andrus, Salty, Netfali Feliz, Matt Harrison, and Beau Jones. In the end all they got out of it was some entertainment from Tex and Casey Kotchman in return. Elvis, Salty, and Feliz have chances to be great. Especially Feliz. He is the Rangers best prospect according to Baseball AMerica. And they have a DEEP farm. With those three guys and their young talent coming up like Hanson, Schafer, Jones, Hernandez, and Jurrjens I could of seen another pretty impressive run in them. But Wren and co. ruined that by making a trade that put them back a couple years.

They have one, David Price! Ha… They definitely have an awesome lineup. All 3 of us powerhouses do. It hsould be a fun year.

I honestly do not think they were going to have another great run in them. They are woefully mismanaged (Giving the Mets a first rounder for Tom Glavine, AFTER the Teixeira trade hurt their farm system, comes to mind). Throw in the Tim Hudson injury, the Jeff Francour collapse, and Casey Kotchman hitting .237 after getting traded, and you have a total mess.

I think Tampa’s lineup is very underrated, and superior to Boston’s with Crawford, Longoria, Upton, Burrell, and Pena to name a few. If they had a closer, they would be sick.

They might have to trade him. They really should have never traded for Teixeira. They gave away so much talent, if they kept those guys they might of been able to pull another run like they did for those 14 years.

I agree that losing Manny is great for us and horrible for them. I am going to feel much better bout facing them without him there. But they still have a great lineup. It really was necessary we kept Tex away from them. If they signed Tex, they would of ran away with the division.

Atlanta has had one miserable offseason. First AJ, then Furcal, now Smoltz. Does anyone really think Chipper Jones will stick around after the 2009 season, when his contract is up?
